Mt. Greylock
Tierney’s first million dollar project was a large new wing on the south side of the existing high school in Williamstown. The Architect was Russell, Gibson & Von Dohlen from the Pioneer Valley.
The work included a new library with clerestory windows, classrooms and corridors, courtyard, full kitchen, new cafeteria and three new athletic fields. In addition, the existing gymnasium was expanded to the west to become double in size. New driveways and parking, extensive storm drainage and lighting systems were also required.
The sole electrician, who installed every conduit until work was overhead, became a life-long friend of our firm and set the groundwork for our belief that successful coordination with subcontractors is key to profitability for all parties concerned. That goal of successfully meshing work of all trades has become a prime focus for the life of our firm.
