Red Lion Inn
The Red Lion Inn is one of the oldest inns in the country, operating since the 1700s. DT has been performing construction management services for the Red Lion Inn for over a decade. In 2007, we completed a full restoration of 33 guest rooms in the south wing of the Inn, including new fire-rated spaces, Category 6 Ethernet capability and four pipe hydronic heating and cooling. In some areas, finished conditions had to be historically accurate. The south wing was a $5.8MM project, covering 43,000 square feet on four floors, plus a basement used for mechanical and back of house operations. A new south entrance was created and a pool with bluestone pavers was added.
Over time, we have performed over a dozen significant projects for the Red Lion Inn; including full renovation of Stafford House; new foundation, framing and finishes for Heather Cottage; several improvements each to two outbuildings - the Potting Shed and 2 Maple Street; renovations at McGregor House, Stevens House, the Pool House, Yellow Cottage and their Elm Street Market. In addition, we have done numerous structural repairs to the Inn itself, including underpinning the structure to build up new concrete foundation material where exterior fill had long ago buried the original framing.
